May 2016 - Carnival Dream to Caribbean - Western
Let me start out by saying me and my wife have cruised on several carnival; cruises and we usually would come back raving about our experience but not this time. A cruise is something I work hard all year and save to afford. So, this is us using our vacation days to relax and chill, oh and did I mention this was our 1 year Anniversary cruise. The first thing that went wrong and I must say major thing is when they left my luggage at the New Orleans port. This was a major inconviece because me and my wife had no other clothes on the ship. We had to wear the same clothes for three days straight until we got to Montego Bay, Jamaica. This experience alone ruined our entire trip. Me and my wife were no longer relaxed, we were now upset and uncomfortable. To top it off when I went to the first desk the first 2 people that helped me acted like they could care less. There response was " I'm sorry sir but we are doing everything we can do to locate your luggage please be patient.'' This was not the response I was hoping for, I was looking more for the response I'm sorry sir your luggage is here and it will be here at this time and for your inconvenience let me refund your amount of your cruise plus give you a credit for another cruise since this one has been completely ruined due to a error on our part. But, I guess that's to much like right. I did finally talk to a front desk worker Maria I think, who gave us a 240 credit for the store on board for you to get some clothes and toiletries. That was nice, but when we get there I found out none of the pants or shorts there fit me, seeing how I'm a big . And, they also had no underwear. We were also not allowed to eat at the captains dinners the two nights we did not have our clothes. Also, our docking time at Grand Cayman was cut short for whatever reason. We usually have a great time on Carnival cruise, but this cruise has turned me totally away from Carnival Cruise and I want to say from cruising all together. Unless, I get some kind of contact from Carnival or I will never use carnival or again. My name is Clem. Also, as a added bonus my wife and fought for the first few days because she was so upset about our luggage and she cried for the second day over half the day, This was a horrible experience, I did not feel relaxed at all.
