Oslo, Norway - Do this on your own! The city of Oslo is right at the port and in easy walking distance to everything. A must to see is the Resistance Museum which is right above the ship along the fortress and a five minute walk.
Tallinn, Estonia - Do not spend any money in a shore excursion. Do this port on you own! Transfers are not necessarry as the city is at the port.
Copenhagen, Denmark - Once again on your own! Not a lot to see!
Helsinki, Finland - Do this on your own!
Stockholm, Sweden - Also, do on your own.
St. Petersburg, Russian Federation - By far my favorite. Please keep in mind that the US and USSR Cold War feelings still exsist. I felt that the Russians had only opened up thier country to tourism because of economy. We spoke to several cruisers who took the flight to Moscow. They said the city was wondeful; however, the aircraft that flew them there was scarey and one said it appeared to be held together by "super glues"! They also said that checking in at the airport was difficult as the Russians were skeptical about foreigners. One said four Russians came to look at her passport.
Warnemunde (Berlin), Germany - Warnemunde is simple a port. Berlin was a two plus hour train ride away. The train was older but nice. Please remember that the train cars are not airconditioned. We left early in the morning so it was cool, on the way back we were not so lucky!
