June 2017 - Norwegian Breakaway to Bermuda
I was on this same exact cruise 2 years ago and had a very different experience. The ship itself is very nice, but the service was lacking this time around.
I went on this cruise with a large group of 14 family members, which included 4 children under the age of 14. I found it ridiculous that only having one main pool, children under 18 were not allowed and had to only swim in the kid's pool, however, were allowed in 2 of the hot tubs in the adult area.
I also found that there was not a lot of activities for families to do and most of the parties on the ship started at 10:30, when most children are sleeping. They also played rated R movies at 7pm but put on G rated movies at 10:30 or later.
The service or lack there of, also stood out to me. The waiters and waitresses in the main dining rooms were not very friendly and almost got annoyed when you asked them a question about a menu item or why the food was taking so long to get to us.
I honestly feel as though this cruise would be better for just couples or groups of less that 7 or 8 people.
Bermuda was absolutely beautiful and the dock area was great and very convenient with lots of good shopping , bus and ferry services, and very friendly people.
