Review summary

This was our 23rd cruise, 21st on Disney. We are cruisers, we love it. We don't always get off at ports because we've cruised so much but we did this time because those cruising with us have never been on a western. If we've been, we like to be on the ship when others are off in the ports. If you are contemplating a cruise, do it! You never know if you like it till you try.

Embarkation

Seamless.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Always second to none.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We love the trivia's and club games they offer the adults. So much to do, you will never get bored. Or you can do nothing if you like.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Giving excellent score because the shows that were put on my Disney were exceptional. The musicians on the cruise were also wonderful. The variety acts (juggler, ventriloquist, magician) were not. We are typically very happy with all entertainment but this cruise all 3 seemed childish and corny. Left each show just having the feeling 'well that was odd'.

Children's Programs

No kids this cruise but when we took our grandchildren, the LOVED it so much!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Outstanding as always.

Ship Quality

Disney NEVER fails in this category. Absolutely perfect.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Our stateroom was the last verandah before the port hole rooms at the very back of the ship on deck 6. This was our first time being this far back. First night it was a bit noisy as we were moving pretty fast and there was some vibration. This did not keep us from being able to sleep at all. Others it might. Docking in ports and Castaway we did hear the engines and feel vibrations but again, we always feel that anywhere on the ship when docking. Probably would not choose a room this far back again if we didn't have to but it wouldn't stop me from cruising if I had to again due to availability. Our stateroom host like always was just amazing. Took THE BEST care of us!

Ship tip

We sailed as 4 adults. My husband and I sail a lot on Disney without our kids and grand kids and have a wonderful time. The kids on the ship never bother us but I heard a lot about the ship being at capacity (it was) but this should only bother you if YOU allow it to bother you. We had a wonderful time and can't wait to go again. If you don't want kids on your cruise, don't sail on Disney. Bring your patience with you (on any cruise). Relax and enjoy it.

Ports of call

Cozumel, Mexico

Did a fun excursion here. Cozumel Beach Break.

Nassau, Bahamas Did not visit port

Nassau wasn't on our itinerary this trip!

Castaway Cay (Disney Private Island)

5 out of 5
Castaway is always beautiful. Found a perfect spot on the adult beach (Serenity Bay) that was all by itself - tip: go all the way to the left (before the crew area) and you'll have it too. Chairs and a few hammocks. Right in front of the water, with the bar behind us. It was amazing! Can't swim right there but it was literally feet away to the allowed swimming area.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Easiest we've ever had!
