Rough start but great ending

The New Years Eve celebration was great and we had perfect seats to observe.

The checkin process needs a lot of help when there are fog delays. Royal Caribbean needs to work with Port of Galveston officials to come up with a plan to keep some organization on cruisers trying to get into the port building. Too much chaos and not knowing where the line starts or ends. Possibly use the port police to manage instead of standing around talking or smoking a cigarette.

Cabin / Stateroom
Great view of the Promenade area. We were not bothered with the noise from the area, very well sound proofed.
Embarkation and Disembarkation
Embarkation was a joke. Try fitting several thousand individuals through one door coming from 3 different directions. Really loved it when the young tall redhead Royal Caribbean rep came out and asked everyone that had been standing in line for over an hour to move from the east side of the Building entrance to the West side of the building entrance. You can imagine the response that she received, she quickly retreated back into the port building.
On Disembarkation we walked off which was very efficient until the young tall redhead Royal Caribbean rep got involved. She again messed that up in the US customs line. She quickly left once passengers made it known that she was letting to many people from one line in.
I must give her kudos she is consistent with what she does, and the clipboard that she carries around makes here look important.
Ship Quality
We always wipe the room down with wipes before unpacking and it is amazing how dirty the wipes get. This is just not Royal Caribbean. We have found this on NCL and Princess as well
Destinations and Excursions
We missed Belize due to the fog delay of 20 hours.
Onboard Activities
Different mix of shows and the schedule works with the different dining times.
Service and Staff
Food and Dining
Sabor was a real surprise. We visited during the lunch hour and was pleasantly surprised.
Don't waste your time on Johnny Rockets. The 6.99 cover charge is not worth it.
