overall the cruise experience was very nice, but i must say the sensation
need a lot of updates and renew the ship itself when i went on the deck where
the mini golf is it had a bad odor when you are walking around the deck,
the cabin which i got had no light system which worked right away it took 5 try till the light went on,. the room smelled like food odor when the pool deck was cooking as it was getting cooked right outside of the room, the light voltage is lose from the bunk beds and the day we arrived the bed were not done the lined had hair all over the beds we had to ask for new bedding the towel are worn out and smelled too especially the white ones. i am professionally a travel agent who sales cruises, i would not like to book this cruise for the first timer cruise cause i feel they will not like the experience. also the day of arrival on the ship was very unprofessional regarding the life jacket and having all those people stand there for just waiting for the crew to arrive on the stage. .
I have been on several cruises and this one is on the bottom of the list. Never saw the cruise director, the cabin steward we had was invisible. The highlight of the cruise was our waiter in the Fantasy dining room. His name was Joell and he was exceptional. The fact that the articles I left in the room were not turned in when it was being cleaned after we left I think is terrible.
Ok, could of had more options while in the Bahamas, besides the excursions
The to yr only took us, it seemed around the shopping area. We wanted to see more of the Bahamas. There was no directions on how to obtain access to the beaches without being a part of the excursions. Everything had a price attached.
My son and I loved the water slides thats all he wanted to do. My whole familt love the food. The staff was great. The cleaning staff was the best Cleaning staff I have had ever. (Ketvt budi arta, and BAgus ambara). The server in fanacy dining were great from ( Lina ,Loyd Front door. Waiter team Israel,Alberto,Shelon, and the best server ever Petra. We also had Cece he was great.) Look for these people there great. In freeport the bus tour for 15.00 was nice with a lot of information. The beach was nice but very small and all the activities were very close. And the walk to the beach was very different just a long stretch for about 5 min and therw a shipping yard on one side and house on the other side . Just a narrow side walk. Nassau beach was much nicer and you can walk there fromthe docks just a 20 min walk . The buggy tour was nice and very informative. 15.00 per person for the city and town tour. There is a lot of shopping and bars to go to if that your thing but we went around the city and saw the historical sites. The only place that was full of people was the small pool and the hottub area next to the pool . The mongolian grill was packed so get there early . My family does not drink ,but the shows where great and the entertainment was wonder non stop.
My family and I went on this three night cruise to the Bahamas on the Carnival Sensation in August 2015. We were pleased overall with the value for the price, which was approximately $2K or the four of us (2 adults, 2 kids ages 13 and 6).
The kids were able to take advantage of the kids' clubs and we were able to enjoy some quality adult time alone. The kids' clubs were often closed, however, or only open for short periods, like 90 minutes at a time. This made it easier to keep our 6-year-old with us, rather than walk him up and back from the 11th floor for shorter times. He did go for longer periods, though. There were after hours parties offered, too, for an additional cost, however, we didn't try any of them.
The food was good, not great, but good. We prefer buffet, casual dining on vacation so we didn't eat in the dining room. Room service options were limited but good.
We also didn't know what to make of the included gratuities on nearly everything. The tips were included on the drinks, the massages, and for the overall staff at the end of the trip. Maybe this was easier on everyone, but I prefer to tip on my own and I would have tipped more.
Overall, the steward won the day. He was friendly and outgoing and always had a smile on his face. This is the face of Carnival we were presented with the most and we were charmed with it.
Getting off the ship was a disaster. We had to stand for nearly an hour, in a room, waiting to be allowed to disembark. It was well after the time we had been told we would be let go. It felt disjointed and unorganized at best.
This was my first cruise that I took with 7 (almost 8) year old daughter. We had a great time on the boat and off on shore. Be sure to have additional spending money with you for souvenirs on shore...I didn't think about that and only a couple of places took credit cards...but it was fun. I was told that the food would be the best, but it was just ok to me. There are lots of choices though, and my child loved having access to pizza and ice cream at all hours. There was also only one pool that was very deep and filled with salt-water. My daughter had a hard time because she doesn't swim, but she made the best of it. There were 2 Jacuzzis set aside for those 21+, but only one of them was truly hot and bubbly. I was with family - including kids and teenagers - on this trip and the youngsters had a great time in their respective clubs. All in all it was a fun time and I would do it again.
I had a great trip with my sons and cousins, who should have been in camp carnival but chose not to take part, I hear its really great // you will not starve plenty of GOOD food. 24/7. Staff very friendly, great shows. Great comedians. Got great deals on liquor 4 1lt bottles of Bacardi Rum in flavors 34.99 /4 1ltr bottles of Ciroc 99.00. // Negatives, there was a 1liter bottle of water in my room that my son opened and the price was 3.75 but I was charged a gratuity on it. that's a NO NO! and Internet should be free but came in 3 price levels that neither of them worked well at all. I should be able to go to guest services and get free print outs of my boarding passes, but NO they told me I had to buy wi-fi which I already had purchased, but in order to reach the airlines I had to purchase a higher pkg. REALLY! Oh and the price at the top of this page is 189.00 for the cruise. I paid 500 per person should I be getting a refund.
We had a great time on the cruise. We loved the my time dining. We were upset at first that we did not get a set dinner seating but ended up loving the my time dining especially since we had two girls that are never on time. The shows were good and my girls had lots of fun in their age group clubs. The cabin staff was out of this world and went well above their job (E16 & 18).
Bring a Power Strip (surge protector) - You'll probably only have a single 110v outlet in your cabin, bringing a power strip will allow you to charge multiple phones or laptops. *Note: Check with your cruise line if you have questions about what electrical devices are permitted.
