Old ship could smell mildew mold on ship. Activities started late. Service lazy. Tips added in so they didn't care about catering to guests. Room cleaners did great job. Food was average. Did not enforce no glass around pool. Need more varieties of breakfast foods.
The only great part of the cruise was receiving cookies, free drinks and a bottle of wine from the Carnival Casino. The food wasn't great. I had an incident where I had to send my steak back three times. So I lost faith in the food. I've been on other Carnival ships and the food was excellent. Also, we had sign up for early boarding. Due to the Sensation picking up refuges, the boarding was extremely backed up. Customer Service was horrible through this process. We had to find food at the port which was a distance on 09/17/16. The trip to Carnival's island should have been avoided. In my opinion, it was a waste of time. We could've spent more time in Nassau or Grand Turks. In reference to housekeeping, we had to keep asking for face/bath towels. The two (2) bright spots of the trip was the service from Ramona from Romania and our head waiter for dinner (Sarge).
Due to the service, I wouldn't recommend this trip sailing from Miami. The experience wasn't great! I feel that I should be given a refund. We had applied for special services to debark from the ship due to my knee surgery. In order to avoid missing our limo we had to join everyone else and the process through customs was slow.
I'm not a happy camper. I'll probably report this trip to the "Better Bureau" or directly to your corporate office.
Overall the ship was nice and clean. We had a fun time but will not go on this ship again. The pool is way to small and over crowed. The food was terrible and the service was slow. Housekeeping did an excellent job keeping our room clean.
The entire cruise was very enjoyable. I cruised with my family and everyone had a great time. The staff was amazing. The food was just as I expected (delicious). My 80 yr old mother cruised for the first time. she really enjoyed it. some names to mention whose service really stood out were Valentine ,Amir ,Ralfs, Preeya Moamenla and our steward for our room. Your staff is certainly hand picked. they were friendly, respectable and courteous. It was a wonderful experience.

This was my first cruise and I had a good time. Overall I wish it was more organized. I never really knew what activities were going on. The buffet did not have much variety but the sit down dining was great. Staff was nice and rooms were very clean.
The service on the Carnival Sensation was the worst I have ever experienced!! We have been on Carnival over 50 days and never had a problem until this ship. Throughout the whole trip we never saw our cabin steward, the dinner room had food under the tables, and over half of the items on room service menu had a charge on them. The worst part was when my daughter had ordered a cake to be delivered in the dinning room for my birthday, of coarse they didn't do it. Upon learning about it I went to guest services (after waiting 45 minutes) I was advised I had to go the specialty shop, I asked who was the manager and guest services claimed they didn't know . Once we went to specialty shop , Deve advised "its not her fault " the dinner staff should have delivered it . Deve called down to speak to them , (after 35 minutes wait) the assist head waiter came up and said " The waiter forgot and they can deliver it to the cabin" we said ugh NO., just refund her card as the surprise was already ruined. The next night @ dinner neither the head waiter nor any of assists bother to come up and apologize. They just had the delivered the day after my birthday and acting like nothing happened . I think its time to give Royal Caribbean another chance!!!
