Classy Cruise

Ship: Jewel of the Seas
Sail Date: May 06, 2013

Very nice staff. Not feeling crowded on the ship as in past cruises on a different line. Good food. Large stateroom, wider than expected. Nightclubs open a little too late for me. Nice dinner table mates.

Evening Dining Room Meals

Ship: Jewel of the Seas
Sail Date: May 06, 2013

The food at the evening dining room meals was not always cooked enough and sometimes strange selections. The steaks were very very rare and vegetables sometimes too hard.

Review of Jewel of the Seas Cruise

Ship: Jewel of the Seas
Sail Date: May 06, 2013

Average - Ship was clean for the most part except restrooms near and around pool area. Food ion board was average Crew and waiters were excellent, very attentive and nice Did not find the shows very exciting, Pool area way to crowded, overflow went into Sanctuary pool and was very disrupptive to people wanteing some piece and quiet. 12 young people in hot tub with drinks swearing and being loud. Consider charging $10 to go in there, that will keep the overflow out. Rating this an average cruise

What a JEWEL!

Ship: Jewel of the Seas

This was our 6th cruise vacation. We thought the check in process was very streamlined. Easiest yet! Enjoyed the ship thoroughly. The staff was friendly and accommodating. We went with 2 other couples to celebrate our anniversary. Everyone on the ship made it very special.

Lovely ship, excellent crew!

Ship: Jewel of the Seas
Sail Date: Apr 18, 2013

This cruise was our third on Royal Caribbean. It was just the right amount of time for a short getaway. The ship is lovely, and our balcony room was comfortable, pretty and clean. The staff and crew are exceedingly friendly and acomodating. You can participate in shows, gambling, sports, games, or do absolutely nothing but read by the pool (as we did)! The bar staff is wonderful as are the dining staff. The sea in the Gulf of Mexico was calm, so great for anyone who may get a little motion sick. I recommend this cruise for first time cruisers or for anyone needing a little R&R.

Cabins to small

Ship: Jewel of the Seas
Sail Date: Apr 13, 2013

Hi All We have cruised other lines in the past, and will again cruise with RCI. My main complaint with our whole trip was the size of the cabin, especially the lavatory. This was the smallest bathroom I have ever seen. I am not an oversized individual but the shower had to have been designed for the most slender individual in the world. Our cabin was 4550 and when the beds were joined you had approximately8-10 inches away from each wall. I know space is a premium and they try to get as many cabins as possible. But my humble opinion is fewer cabins and increase the lavatory size. My other concern is Why does it cost $6.58 cents for a Draft beer. I am not complaining about the size of the beer glass that was fine. But lets be honest I thought I was at a football game where you normally get gouged for a glass of beer. Oh well I vented. Otherwise we had a great time, and will sail again on RCI

Cozumel Trip 2013

Ship: Jewel of the Seas
Sail Date: Apr 04, 2013

This was our second trip aboard a Royal Caribbean ship and I look forward to many more. The crew are always pleasant and helpful and the ship spotless. Our stateroom, while not as large as we had hoped, was homey and clean. Dining was a pleasure in the dining room, but the food in the Windjammer Cafe wasn't as good. The desserts were dry and tasteless. There were alot of things for families to do onboard and alot of things for singles, but there seemed to be a lack of things to do for the 50+ crowd to do. But, the shows are always entertaining. We mainly booked this cruise to just get away for a few days, and this fit the bill. What brought us back to Royal Caribbean was the friendliness of the crew and the cleanliness of the last ship we were on. We will use them again.

Deck Plans for Jewel of the Seas

Tips for Jewel of the Seas

Don't forget to catch a show - they're fabulous!

THAT I THINK IS ONE OF THE BEST THINGS YOU DID. PEOPLE DONT SEE HOW MUCH THE CREW WORKS AND WE DO. ALL THE CREW IS WONDERFUL AND HAS BEEN ON ANY OF ROYAL SHIPS. THANKS YOU VERY MUCH FOR THE WONDERFUL FEELING WE GET WHEN WE CRUISE ON ANY SHIP.

Eat as many Meals as you can in dining room.

Breakfast in on the balcony of my room was a great way to start the day!

Don't miss the adults only pool area.

Bar Harbor was our favorite port!

Breakfast and Lunch Buffets were great...dining room food not as good

Loved the Sea View Cafe for late night snacks.

Don't miss the activities on this ship. Carly B. and Elvis have fun planned for you each day.

I loved the variety of the music. The bands were great and they played a variety of songs.

get a bigger cabin

Take advantage of all the dining choices- we used room service for two days and the other choices on the other days. If you like to eat casually only- then go to the WindJammer everyday. It's buffet and has many choices for the picky eaters.

Get to the pool deck early if you want a spot to enjoy.

dining room experience was fantastic.

Get the message special!

Avoid it at all costs!

It is laid out like all of the other RC ships...The library is pretty non existant. Always clean and also well insulated.

Well treated by staff at Schooner Bar.

Get to the library early--it is quite small.

Don't take the kids - enjoy couple time!!! :)
