Never again

Ship: Carnival Sensation
Sail Date: May 12, 2013

This was my first cruise. The transportation to and from the cruise ship was fabulous! However when I got on the ship I had no idea where to go or how to get to my cabin. When I did find my cabin it was difficult to know how to get where I wanted to go. The food was terribly average, nothing to write home about. The wait staff in the exstacy dining room are were superb! Very polite and polished. The buffet staff were another story. I was treated rudely by a girl making hamburgers the last night of the trip. She was insulting and belligerent towards me. I was in shock to be treated that way especially on a cruise ship!! If I thought it would have done any good I would have told the Maitre D' if I could have found him! The shore excursion through Freeport consisted of a trip to the perfume factory and then through a plaza that used to be the "hot spot" of the island. Stores were vacant, windows smashed out, fountains out of order, overgrown with grass. You felt if you were alone you...

Very Good Cruise!

Ship: Carnival Sensation
Sail Date: May 12, 2013

This cruise was very good. We were impressed with the crew and how engaged and accommodating they were. The ship is in good shape. The food was good...not much variety but good. The entertainment was very good as well. As the cruise went on the shows got better and the finale was excellent! We are first time cruisers so I have nothing else to compare our experience to, but the overall experience was one that would make us want to go again.

TIME OF YOUR LIFE!

Ship: Carnival Sensation
Sail Date: May 05, 2013

THE CRUISE is the only vacation to go on lots to do all the food you can eat ! the waiters and waiteress are great very helpful and hard workers .the one waitress dragana was the best . i do feel the waiters that clean the tables should have a 4 wheel cart instead of putting a tray on there shoulders i seen at least 2 times the rocking of the ship the trays were dropped and glass breaking all around people very dangerous for guests. so much to do on the ship .thanks carnival!

My First Cruise

Ship: Carnival Sensation
Sail Date: May 02, 2013

This was my first time on a cruise. The ship and decor were very dated. Breakfast was decent but all the other meals were horrible. The mixed drinks were watered down and expensive. The staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. Especially Maria my housekeeper she was GREAT!!! Lots of good activies on the ship for kids and adults.

Tons of fun!!!

Ship: Carnival Sensation
Sail Date: Apr 28, 2013

Carnival Cruise Lines wants your business and it was evident in the way the crew made us feel on our trip. They went out of their way to learn our names. They danced, laughed and did everything possible to make our trip special. They were tons of fun!!!

great time

Ship: Carnival Sensation
Sail Date: Apr 14, 2013

Great time. Could have had more of a variety of music in the club. Seemed it was just hip hop and ony catered to the young 20 yr.olds. what about the 80's. Other than that we had a great time. Great crew that cleaned our room, always made sure our cooler was filled with ice. Wanna go back next year.

cruise

Ship: Carnival Sensation
Sail Date: Apr 14, 2013

The cruise was nice but I expected a waterslide and a steakhouse. The dining room food and service was excellent. The room steward was friendly and provided everything we asked for. When reading the carnival site it mentions everything available on all ships and doesn't disguish that this ship did not have as much to do or a seperate steak restaurant.

Deck Plans for Carnival Sensation

Tips for Carnival Sensation

The dining room was empty at lunch time. It was quiet and relaxing.

We had a balcony stateroom on the very back of the ship just under the Serenity deck (21 and over only). Nice and quiet part of the ship! Also convenient to food. Short flight of inside stairs to get to dinner, and then 2 short flights of stairs on the outside to get to the buffet area.

Lido deck is definitely the best place to eat breakfast. Lines may be a little longer but they have a bigger variety of food.

If you want a spot on the "adults only" sun deck you have to get there early.

Breakfast was the best meal of the day.

best meals where the ones in the dinning halls, the lines for the buffets were too long, and food was of low quality.

If you get sea sick easily - BRING SEASICK MEDICINE! These class of Carnival Ships do not have stablizers like the bigger Carnival Ships have so expect a lot of rocking!

Get to the comedy shows a little early; they fill up fast.

bring your bathing suit in a carry on or wear it so you can enjoy the pool while everyone is still boarding.

If you want to visit the islands do it early. There is no lines for breakfast and no wait to leave the ship

Go to the dining room for breakfast there was no line and the eggs are better.

Visit the complementary sushi bar before dinner. Check the Fun Times for when it is available. Sometimes it is closed if another event is scheduled there.

FOOD WAS GOOD ALL FOOD WAS FRESH..

my best place to hang out was lido . i love food!

The Sensation is a moderate sized ship with several ammenities. The main pool area is huge and the music was island sounds. The nightly entertainment was incredible. The dancers and bands were great! The food was amazing and I'm ready to set sail again.

Don't plan to enjoy the pool...to many kids.

The only "all night" food was the pizza and ice cream, just so you know.

Seemed like you always waited in lines at food places.

Do yourself a favor pick another vacation

We love the breakfast and dinners, couldn't get enough of the Ice cream. Will return because we had a great time.
