Bad weather and poor food

Ship: Carnival Pride
Sail Date: Apr 28, 2013

Poor food in the dining room and not real good on the lido deck. Have been on 22 Cruises 15 on Carnival cruise Ships. This was by far the worst cruise that we have been on. But we Love Carnival and will go AGAIN.

Great Trip

Ship: Carnival Pride
Sail Date: Apr 28, 2013

This has been really enjoyable and great trip for us. The service on the cruise ship was outstanding. The food was excellent. There was free daycare for the kids and a lot of activities as well.

First Cruise

Ship: Carnival Pride
Sail Date: Apr 28, 2013

My husband and I were really excited to take our first cruise with Carnival. We were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary. We are campers not cruisers so this was all new to us. The ship was nice and our stateroom with a balcony was great. We loved Bobby our steward on board. He kept our cabin clean and he was so personable. The food was great and so was the intertainment. Mother nature however was another story. The whole cruise we only had about 1/2 a day of sun. This was dissapointing to us, but we made the best of it. We will try carnival one more time.

Terrible Cruise

Ship: Carnival Pride
Sail Date: Apr 14, 2013

I recently sailed on the Carnival Pride. I must say if they gave me free trip on this ship, I would not go. The food was limited on the buffet. There was little variety and redundant. The dining room was an over sized diner, with bright lights and much noise. The decor on the ship was inappropriate for a family cruise, too many naked people. This was the worse 7 day vacation I have ever taken.

Was a nice vacation, but not end all be all

Ship: Carnival Pride
Sail Date: Apr 14, 2013

The boat was very clean and personnel were very nice and attentive. There wasn't much space on the ship so I always felt crowded, the times that food (besides main dining) and activities were available was very chaotic. The pools were too small and the fact that there were two didn't help much because one seemed to always be closed. For the cruise line that is supposed to be more for families, I was not at all impressed by the activities available for children. We brought my 12 year old daughter, who is very out going and makes friends instantly, she attended one initial Circle C event and went back many times to check out what they were doing, but she never stayed. So that should tell you something if a 12 year old would rather be with their parents than to be off free on their own with other kids their age. That would not have been so bad, but the shore excursions weren't that great either and times in port were far too short so you really couldn't let lose and enjoy yourself because...

Great service, fun time

Ship: Carnival Pride
Sail Date: Apr 07, 2013

Brunch and late dining featured very good food and service. Buffet food was good, also, but we are not fans of confusing layout and waiting in line. Very easy getting on/off the ship. Longer stays at the ports would be nice. Over all a very good value from a port close to our home.

Enjoyable

Ship: Carnival Pride
Sail Date: Apr 07, 2013

We enjoyed the lovely suite and veranda, the wonderful crew, delicious food. However, the clientele was quite different from what we have experienced on other ships. I know that the ship is more family oriented - and that's great. All and all, it was a lovely trip.

Poor staff in kids camp

Ship: Carnival Pride
Sail Date: Mar 24, 2013

I did not like the staff in kids camp. They did not take care of kids in the camp and kids were with us all the time. We couldn't do much in Cruise because we were baby sitting kids all the time. I will never recommend anyone to this cruise.

our cruise to the carbbean on the Carnival Pride 3/24-31/03

Ship: Carnival Pride
Sail Date: Mar 24, 2013

After all the mishaos on some Carnival cruises, I must say our cruise on the Pride wasd very plesant and dispelled any angst that the recent news had created. My wife, my granddaughter and I had a very good time. The staff was very attentive and provided a very high level of service. hey appeared to enjoy our shorty and friendly encountewrs and were always reasdy to please us. Of course, the friendliness and respecty was mutual. my suggestion to cruisers: learn the names of your attendants. They do remember yours as old friends would. I definitely cruise again and suggest additional sailings to other ports of call. Anothjer suggestion is the improvementy of the baltimore tewrminal. Cape Canaveral would be a good example.

To cruise with carnival or not to cruise with carnival?

Ship: Carnival Pride
Sail Date: Mar 24, 2013

We boarded the cruise and all was ok at first. The kids were so excited for Camp Carnival. The first day was ridiculous. The drop off line was about 45 minutes long. And that was for one age group. If you had kids of different age groups you had to go to different locations and wait on those lines as well. The whole process could have been simplified and faster. My youngest for some reason was not on the roster so they wrote him in each day which delayed the whole drop off process When I asked how this could be fixed each person told me it wasn't their job to do it. But it wasn't until the 4 th day when I got really annoyed did anyone make it their job to rectify the issue. The dining room looked more like a diner than a dining room. It was nice but diner nice. The "elegant" night, some guests showed up in jeans and tshirts others wore tuxedos and gowns. On Other cruises I went on, they frowned upon you coming to diner inappropriately dressed. That's why they offer other places...

Deck Plans for Carnival Pride

Tips for Carnival Pride

A stateroom with a balcony is always a plus I think, and try their Rueben on Libido deck, one of the best I have had thepleasure to eat

Get to the hot tubs on the first night while you can while everyone is checking out the ship ceause after that they are never free!

Go early to the main shows for good seats. Don't wait in line for your main dining room time just go down 5 minutes after your time & walk right to your table. The very first day takes a while longer because people don't know where their tables are yet so maybe go 15 minutes later on the first day.

LOVE the Adults only Serenity area on Deck 9 Aft.

Make sure that you go to the teas. We only made one - but it was GREAT!

The sea brunches rock. The Serenity adult deck fills quickly. David's Steakhouse is so worth the $35/pp.

Beverage package is worth it if you plan to have more than 5 drinks per day! Serenity desk is the best place for 21 and over!

Very smooth ride even in rough waters!

Do not run and buy unlimited drinks unless you absolutely want to. It's best to wait and get all the details first. Don't waste your money if you don't drink much.

utilize camp carnival if you have kids! ours were ASKING to go each day by the end of the cruise!

you can bring a bottle of wine to celebrate the Birthday of someone special......

Make sure to take a power strip with you for all your electronic needs.

in bahamas, carry small bills, i.e. 1's n 5's. also nothing is made by or sold for the "school children" this is their line to try to guilt you into paying for the "free" stupid little bracelets, but if you want genuine hand made shark tooth necklace for 5 bucks find "RONA" on the beach in FREEPORT.

Water shoes are ideal if you plan to spend a lot of time on the Lido deck by the pools. The floor stays wet due to people getting in and out of the pools and hot tubs and it is easy to fall if you're not careful.

-- Don't miss a visit to the Sunset Garden walk -- most don't even know about it. Deck 3 Fwd Starboard Side. -- Got room for free sushi? Deck 2 at 5pm -- Cigar smoker -- Starry Night Lounge -- On this ship you don't have to get to the theater 45 minutes early as seats are available.

Bring an extension cord for your stateroom, just in case. My spouse needed it for a cpap machine while sleeping, and there were no outlets near the bed.

Do not be shy in using room service.....they are punctual and service with a smile. Take advantage of the sea day brunch in the Normandie and don't miss the formal dining nights.

This ship needs a lot of repair, Won't sail it again until it's completed.

Get a wrap around balcony aft and enjoy the sun all day. Have breakfast from room service.

Availability of eateries is most attractive. Casual dining at the Lido or 6 decks below in the formal dining room gives one a choice not found in even the fanciest resorts. The lido is open most of the day with only small intervals to change the type of fare. I still taste the petit Danish roll availabe in the morning. There were 2674 passengers on the Pride. Asuuming that each passenger had only 2 rolls A MATEMATICIAN WOULD AGREE THE SHIP HAD TO CARRY AT LEAST 35,000 REOLLS. cAN YOU IMAGINE THE NUMBER OF LOBSTER TAILS SALMON FILET, CHEESE CAKES , BREADS FOR ALL TASTES, AND ,MY FAVORITE ,ICE CREAM
