Good 4 Day Cruise

Ship: Carnival Inspiration
Sail Date: Apr 29, 2013

Overall it was a good cruise. Two things prevented me from giving it a higher rating: 1. Room was smaller than expected for an ocean view room. 2. Dress code not enforced in dining room. Especially for dinner, both formal and business casual.

4-Night Inspiration Cruise to Ensenada

Ship: Carnival Inspiration
Sail Date: Apr 22, 2013

Overall, our experience was good. I traveled with my two children and they had a great time playing miniature golf and ping pong. The only pool on the ship was freezing cold, but my kids endured it, otherwise, there wasn't much for them to do. The smoke from the casino was annoying since we had to walk by it each time to go to the pool deck or buffet dining. Unfortunately, by the third day, the smoke was penetrating into our cabin through the vent. There was a comedy show rated for all ages, but the comedian started talking about ways to kill yourself, which I thought was very inappropriate for children so we walked out of the show. I would suggest having more activities for family instead of just the kid's club where you're not able to interact with your children. We forgot our jackets in the closet in the cabin when we debarked, so I hope we do get them back. Our cabin size was great and spacious. The staff were friendly overall. Our experience on Carnival Paradise three years ago wa...

Fun "Starter" Cruise

Ship: Carnival Inspiration
Sail Date: Apr 15, 2013

This was the first cruise for my wife and me. We went with 6 other adult family members. We had an excellent time! The staff was very friendly and our wait staff in the Main Dining Room was phenomenal. The ship could use some updating, but we did not experience any problems. The stops in Ensenada and Catalina Island were nothing to write home about unless you want to go bar hopping. We did experience a lot of rocking and sea movement. We spoke with several people who had been on a lot of cruises and they said they felt the movement more on this ship than any other...this was the 39th cruise for one couple. Overall it was a fantastic time and a good value. We look forward to trying a higher end cruise experience next time.

Carnival Inspiration

Ship: Carnival Inspiration
Sail Date: Apr 08, 2013

My husband, daughter and I went on a four day cruise to Ensenada and Catalina. Although the first night was really choppy we had so much fun the rest of the time! My daughter loved the fact that their was a giant water slide... I would recommend this cruise line for families.

Was what I expected

Ship: Carnival Inspiration
Sail Date: Apr 01, 2013

Took my niece for spring. I knew it would be a lot younger people. I had a good time but the food could of been better. There was hardly any taste in the different cakes and the fish was a little tough. When we got the fries they were COLD both times. The shows were great and the guy who took care go our cabin was so nice and sweet. My niece enjoyed the night life. This is a cruise for younger people. I will stick with your other ship. (PRINCESS)

First Time Cruiser

Ship: Carnival Inspiration
Sail Date: Apr 01, 2013

My daughter and I had a great time on this cruise, however it was quite disappointing with the lack of preparedness for all the kids that were aboard. I was really disappointed with the fact that out of four jacuzzis only one was for kids. They were packed in like sardines. Besides this fact everything went as planned. The other recommendation I would have if it is at all possible, is during this time if year have the pool heated, it was freezing and my daughter did not utilize the pool or the slides because of how cold it was. Everyone on the ship was courteous and hospitable. Thank you for the experience and hopefully we will go again really soon.

Deck Plans for Carnival Inspiration

Tips for Carnival Inspiration

make use of the steam rm and sauna behind beauty salon. hardly anyone goes there and it,s free. relax on adults only serenity deck in rear of ship, has 2 good whirlpools. eat breakfast in the dining room.

Look through the pictures that were taken of you on the ship before the last night of the cruise, otherwise, there's a large crowd to fight through on the last night.

Sleep in, order room service for the continental breakfast and then head to the late breakfast (my wife's choice). Wake up and have the early served breakfast in the main dining room, come back to your stateroom, take a nap then wake up and have the late buffet breakfast (my choice :) )

The dining experience is fantastic waiters are incredible and I sat at 381 late dining and the gentlemen that served us were incredible!!!!

try the fiesta party boat exursion

Pizza and ice cream available 24hrs a day

nice and relaxing short trip cruise-highly recommend for first timmers.

I enjoyed the Mongolian BBQ on board! I had never seen that!

Try the Mongolian Grill - I think you can get this on many Carnival ships now - by far the freshest food available - you choose what you want, they cook it right there. Caters to allergies as well, which is a great plus.

If you like the outdoor activities without a crowd - get to mini golf at around 8ish - that goes for the ping pong too - no one there, nice and clean and not too hot yet!

Cayman Islands - You do not need to book an excursion here - take the tender and walk - you can grab a taxi or even a mini bus and they will do a tour for you! We had a blast!

Any time dining - great option and the seats are located by the windows! Lido deck - get there for about 10 - still ample time for grabbing a seat. Chef's Table - if you like food, this is for you!

I used the fine gym. Provide more music in lounges in the evening., Show movies in afternoons.

Go to the Serenity Spa. Its a kid free zone!

Don't get late dining as you will miss the shows. They really need more to do at sea. Also, why can't they stay in Catalina longer instead of leaving at 5:30?

The Lido deck did have shorter lines from time to time...and they had rottiserie items as well.

Plan ahead and ask many question before going on your cruise to avoid additional expense. We did and planned accordingly and ended not paying in additional expenses like soda, alcohol, gratuity, ect...

Be sure to check out show, there great.

Dancing in the bar walk way in the evening with the live band is lots of fun.

Even though the ship is activity orientated, there are plenty of quiet places to spend time
