relaxing week at sea

Ship: Caribbean Princess
Sail Date: Apr 13, 2013

We have sailed Princess in the past and actually on this ship x2. It is clean and lovely, however.....Floor tile in bathroom was cracked and kept sticking to our feet when we went into bathroom. carpet very stained and worn in many areas, including our room. This ship is 9 yrs old and is in need of refurbishment badly. The staff were all great. They need to have more tables for 2 for those on the anytime dining option, as everyone had to wait with beepers for tables. We opted to share always, but many folks do not.

Mark & Cindy Barth

Ship: Caribbean Princess
Sail Date: Apr 06, 2013

Our Cruise was nothing exceptional. The workers were kind, but the food, shows and port of call were average. We have sailed on Royal Carb., and Carnival. Both of those cruise lines were better across the board.

Very nice cruise

Ship: Caribbean Princess
Sail Date: Apr 06, 2013

The ship was built in 2004 and its time to change the matresses. Mine had a bit of sag but not to the point of discomfort. The initial dining assignment was not satisfactory but the headwaiter changed us to a most satisfactory table. The crew and service was outstanding.

Best Cruise in a long time

Ship: Caribbean Princess
Sail Date: Apr 06, 2013

The Carbbean Princess was fantastic. Lots to do if you wanted to yet if you didnt there was places to do nothing. The places we visited were great and very interesting. Our room was fantastic. The service was great, especially our cabin steward Grace. There was also more food then you could ever eat and it was all delicious. Would recommend this cruise highly.

Always happy with Princess!!!

Ship: Caribbean Princess
Sail Date: Mar 30, 2013

This was our 4th cruise with Princess. We've cruised on The Grand, Emerald, Ruby and now the Caribbean. We were upgraded from a ocean view on the Plaza deck to a balcony on the Rivera deck cabin R209. The room was in great shape forward of the ship. Very quiet room, and our room steward was very nice. I had my travel agent request the upgrade, and I believed it happened because I called Princess a few days prior to sailing, to ask if the upgrade confirmed. I explained I was traveling with my parents who also cruise Princess, and are Platinum level. The agent advised no upgrade was available and it would cost for the upgrade. I declined and to my surprise the upgrade was there when we arrived. The ship was in good shape, the food was excellent. I enjoyed both ports. Aruba was beautiful!! I really enjoyed this itinerary only having two stops besides the private island. I have read reviews in the past where someone always had something negative to say. I have never had any pr...

Caribbean Princess

Ship: Caribbean Princess

Nice ship and good service with professional staff. Some things missing: no entertainment by staff in dining room; no fancy napkins on the table; no towel art in the stateroom.

beautiful clean and friendly

Ship: Caribbean Princess
Sail Date: Mar 23, 2013

We all enjoyed the cruise it was a family vacation and we all loved it. The staff was willing to go out of their way to make you happy. Food was great, Rooms were well kept and room attendant was great. Bar staff was out going and friendly. Waiters were great in the main dinning. Only things I did not like was there was no smoking on one side of the ship by the pool which made it very inconvenient to spend time with you family when you are not all smokers. Felt it was very limited smoking areas. The head bar staff around the pool need to talk to the staff privately they were not very professional when they need to talk to them they were mean to the servers. I felt as a guess you should not see or hear this conversation. They were the head people walking around in suits and they did not try to serve you just bark out orders to staff which I felt was unprofessional. I am on vacation and do not want to hear that. They should remove themselves from the public eye to speak to the ...

Expensive trip

Ship: Caribbean Princess
Sail Date: Mar 23, 2013

Gratuities should not be mandated by the cruise line but should be left at the disgression of the customer. Every time you turn around there is a fee for something. You cannot even get a softdrink unless you pay for it, I am not talking about alcoholic drinks. We have been on many all-inclusive trips and did not have to pay for them. The excursions are too expensive you can do much better for them by the locals when on shore.

Tips for Caribbean Princess

For those adults that want quiet, go to the aft pool on deck 14...wonderful place to hang out.

Don't go on spring break they can't handle the crowd

I will not use Princess again

no food lines at all. more good food than I could eat

Better dining room service and food.

Staff at international cafe were fun Lots of staff to make your vaca relaxing.

check out all of ship first day or so not to miss anything

Do not bother with the Casino-Did not win or see anyone else win!

There is cigar smoking only in the Sports Bar, Churchills lounge. Either build a seperate sports bar or allow cigars on the open decks and balconies.

Needed a little painting and upkeep, but as soon as we landed the last day the crews were busy in painting and cleaning decks and exterior. Great food and very clean.

Enter the main shows on deck 6.

If you want a chaise by the pools get there early as the prime seats are gone early! The adult pool in the front of the ship is great for relaxing.

Best buffet on deck 15 is in the back of the boat. Also if you want some quite pool time the adult only pool all the way in the back is good but the quietest is the small pool near the gym.

go shows early not enough seats

Get everywhere early--ie the deck chairs were all taken by 7:30 am. Make friends with your waiter and Maitre D.

The sun deck by the lotus pool was quite and very relaxing.

No place to walk! Do not use 'Anytime Dinning'! You have to get up at 7 AM to get a lounge chair on the Lido Deck near the pools. If you drive to and park at Ft Lauderdale Port, getting off the ship is a nightmare.

get to the shows early for best seat. Large ship not so l;arge theater

Bring your own mattress!

Use the dining room with Ciprian, Luis, Michael, and Jonah. Also, if you are a cigar smoker, Roman in the Speakeasy is the best.
