About Bonaire, Netherlands Special Municipality

This untouched little Caribbean island is a true naturalist's Eden. Spectacular underwater beauty prevails, along with white beaches and a breathtaking collection of ocean-carved rock formations. Bird watching is at its best here. You can see one of the loveliest and largest flamingo colonies in this hemisphere as well as Caribbean parakeets and Bonairean "lora". Outstanding opportunities for snorkeling and diving abound here, amid one of the Caribbean's richest collections of marine life.

Wonderful experience here. If you want to experience the Caribbean without over crowding, this is the place to go. The prices were the best of the three port stops.

There's a brewery within walking distance of the boat. Can't remember the name, but we tried a few of the brews. One was called Bonaire Blonde.

lovely small port with everything in walking distance. no need to buy a ship excursion, just walk to the palace resort and for $5 you can snorkel and use thier beach. fantastic.

Really need to book an excursion early. They can only accommodate a few folks. 4,000 from the Vista and 2,000 from another ship was overwhelming for this port. Lot of disappointed folks.

We took a great tour with Fahid, local knowledge, fun, saw everything, and still had time to shop. Very friendly people, beautiful waters. I will snorkel the next time, if we get back there. Saw beautiful blue fish in the water, pink flamingos, salt mine, slave huts, etc.
