Terrific!!! Sums it up!!!

small verified icon Verified Review | Ship: Celebrity Reflection | Sail Date: Sep 20, 2013

This was my 4th cruise and 1st with Celebrity. It won't be my last!  The ship was beautiful and the crew could not have been more friendly!  Without exception!  All smiles, from the cabin stewards to the officers encountered around the ship. Everything was kept very clean; the food was very good and a nice variety offered each evening.  Ate at Qsine and it was fabulous and VERY fun!  Highly recommend it.  Don't miss Hector's show nightly at the Martini Bar--he is a jewel in the crown of the Reflection with his personality, entertainment and talent.

A dream come true cruise

small verified icon Verified Review | Ship: Celebrity Reflection | Sail Date: Sep 20, 2013

We have cruised about ten to fifteen times in the past and had some wonderful experiences on all different cruise lines, but we both agree that this cruise was by far the best.  The staff on the Celebrity Reflection was outstanding.  They were very friendly, got involved and went out of their way to make sure you enjoyed your time.  In particular, our wait staff in the dining room were wonderful, meeting special needs of one of our friends each night and doing so with real concern.  They shared tips for going ashore at the different ports and gave us suggestions for what to try for our meal that night, all of them winding up being excellent tips.  Of course, the ports we went to made a world of difference also as they were just beautiful and exciting and brought history to life for us.  Each of the excursions we took through Celebrity were great and the tour guides the best.  We don't have any complaints at all about this trip and look forward to cruising on Celebrity again.

Celebrity Reflection

small verified icon Verified Review | Ship: Celebrity Reflection | Sail Date: Jun 28, 2013

Though we encountered several other cruises during our trip The Reflection was the largest ship we saw. Many of the crew members were friendly, however the overall experience lacked any sort of personal touch and the services felt mass produced and impersonal. In many ways it felt like staying at a mid-range casino on the Las Vegas Strip rather than a luxury experience.

This cruise was excellent! The ship is outstanding and the Dining Staff is fabulous! The cruise attendants are exceptional ! I would definitely return to this cruise ship again! However, I am not very impressed with the excursion offers and the ports of call of Italy itinerary!

Loved It!!

Ship: Celebrity Reflection | Sail Date: May 17, 2013

This was our first time on Celebrity!! Very impressed with staff and ship. Loved our room stewards and our dining room staff - they felt like family by the time we left. Food was excellent! We just ate in the dining room and buffet - never tried the specialty restaurants. Would like to see more theater type shows (dancing and music). The comedian was not to be missed! Never felt crowded on the ship at all. Lots of places to hang out and veg! Thought the excursions were very organized. Meeting in the theater before your time and getting stickers was much more organized then we had experienced on other cruise lines. We have cruised with Carnival and Holland America before - would definitely cruise with Celebrity again!!

Our trip of a lifetime!

small verified icon Verified Review | Ship: Celebrity Reflection | Sail Date: May 17, 2013

For our VERY special and MONUMENTAL birthdays my sister and I decided to go to Italy, Greece and Turkey and we chose Celebrity to take us! We thoroughly enjoyed the entire cruise and LOVED our Aqua Class Suite and the Aqua Class Spa! We have cruised on Norweigan, Princess, Holland America, Carnival and Royal Carribean and Celebrity, by far, surpassed every other line. The food, the entertainment and the way were were treated by the entire staff helped make this cruise fantastic! The Reflection is an absolutely beautiful vessel and we both look forward to sailing on her again......SOON!!! Thanks so much to everyone who helped make our birthdays the best ones ever!!

Review of recent cruise

small verified icon Verified Review | Ship: Celebrity Reflection | Sail Date: Mar 29, 2014

My wife and I were very dissapointed that we had to accept late dining when we signed up for this cruise, but we were told to consult with the Dining Room once we arrived on the ship to make our request for the change to early seating.   We did, this and after waiting in line for 1 hour, we were told that it was not possible to change on the first day, but we could possible get our wish before the cruise ended.   This did not happen.

We have been off the ship for one week, and we are still waitng for our promised rebate, which we were told we would receive, at the end of the cruise.

small verified icon Verified Review | Ship: Celebrity Reflection | Sail Date: Mar 22, 2014

The reflection team is at the top of its game. We had nothing but first class service from Boarding to debarkation. The entire staff was friendly and helpful. While there is no perfect Cruise ship the Reflection is darne close. The entertainment was noteworthy, especially the groups in the  Ensamble Lounge.

Amazing Getaway

small verified icon Verified Review | Ship: Celebrity Reflection | Sail Date: Mar 15, 2014

We booked a cruise on the Reflection because we wanted a quiet week away and with just over 3000 guest capacity, it was much more palatable than the larger ships that are carrying over 6000.  We honestly didn't want to travel with a huge mall, ice rink, rock climbing wall or wave generator, which would be great if thats what you're looking for to keep occupied, but wasn't what we wanted.

From the moment we stepped onboard, it was an amazing voyage.  We were able to get onboard early and went directly up to "The Porch" to sit and relax before casting off.  This restaurant is on Deck 15, with an amazing view of the port and situated next to the extensive grass area.  Great lunch, as expected.  It didn't take long to get our luggage and start getting things put away.  We booked an AquaClass suite, and it was amazing.  Lots of room in the cabin with a beautiful verandah that we relaxed on for a while the first day.

While exploring the ship, we were constantly amazed at the amount of artwork that adorns the hallways, staircases, elevator areas, restaurants... everywhere you turn there are photographs, sculptures and original paintings.  The main area of the ship is stunning with its glass elevators and live tree sitting center stage!

We dined in Blu a number of times and we were never disappointed, looking forward to the next meal every time.  We also dined in a number of specialty restaraunts, and if you get to the Tuscan Grille, DO NOT pass up the Creme Brulee, topped with PopRock candy.. simply amazing.  One of the reasons we continue to cruise on Celebrity is the food, it is simply the best anywhere.  The attention to detail, consistancy of quality and service are second to none.

One night while at sea, we decided to go up to the Sky Lounge, which has an amazing view from the front of the ship, for a drink and relax, we figured that with the number of people on the ship and it was Spring Break weekend that it would be a little crowded.  Imagine our surprise when we were the only ones there, other than the bartender.  We even asked if the bar was closed and the bartender replied, "No, it's pretty quiet in here usually unless we're having karaoke, since there are so many other places on the ship to hang out."  Wow, they wern't kidding.  On a ship of 3000 people, there were only 3 of us in this place and couldn't believe it!  We found the quiet and solitude we were looking for.

As we booked in an AquaClass suite, we were able to use the Persian Garden Spa as frequently as we wanted, which was beautiful and relaxing with the heated tile chairs, infrared sauna, hammam sauna and cold room.  The only downfall was the set up for access to the Persian Gardens.  We had to wait in line for 15 minutes at the reception desk to exchange our cabin key card for an access key to the Gardens while others were trying to decide on spa appointments, nail color, salon times and other things.  One of the benefits (supposedly) to the AquaClass was the unlimited use of the Persian Gardens, but after having to wait for the exchange and then the exchange for our cabin key, we probably won't be booking this class again. We had the opportunity to speak with Jamie (hotel manager) and spoke to him about the delay and he assured that this would be addressed.  We also did receive a call from the Spa Manager to try it again as they had set up a line specifically for the key exchange, but we honestly were too busy explorting the ship and enjoying the cabin and verandah that we didn't feel the need to go back.

Overall, the ship, crew, restaurants and general experience was amazing, as always on the Celebrity line, which is why I gave this review 5 stars. We can't wait to cruise again on the Reflection, but have opted for a different suite class and have already booked our next one in 2015.

30th anniversary and 30th cruise

small verified icon Verified Review | Ship: Celebrity Reflection | Sail Date: Mar 15, 2014

Celebrity ships are beautifully decorated and maintained and the Reflection continues this tradition.  Check in was so smooth and organized that we were on the ship before we knew it.  Crew members and staff were very friendly with a "hello" every time we saw them.  Our Aquaclass room was roomy and extremely clean.  We ate most breakfast and lunch meals at the buffet and thought the food was excellent.  We feel that the food on Celebrity is a step above the other mainstream cruise lines.  We love the Blu Restaurant with its modern look and more intimate dining experience and this is one reason we chose Celebrity for our cruise.  We also love the pace of each day on Celebrity because they treat you as adults with minimal announcements and interruptions.  Information is so easily accessible through your in room information center (tv).  The Reflection is a very large ship and yet we are always amazed at the quiet spots you can find anytime of the day or night.  This cruise had three of our favorite ports, especially St. Thomas, and we loved the three days at sea to just relax and forget about any schedules.  The variety of music should satisfy any taste from rock and roll to classical.  Shows were excellent but we especially enjoyed the Martini Bar.  Great overall experience and cannot wait for the next cruise.

Celebrity Reflection

small verified icon Verified Review | Ship: Celebrity Reflection | Sail Date: Mar 01, 2014

It was a great trip in every way.  Room great. Food great. Service excellent. Entertainment excellent.  Could not say a bad thing about the cruise.

The Port of Miami is very unorganized getting 20,000 on 5-6 ships at the same time. I will never go out of that port again.  The ship

was wonderful once we got on the ship.

Fantastic first cruise

small verified icon Verified Review | Ship: Celebrity Reflection | Sail Date: Mar 01, 2014

Our first cruise ever was awesome. Friends recommended Celebrity and we were certainly glad. The Cebrity Reflection was beautiful and we were  in impressed with the cleanliness and the efforts to keep everything clean and germ free. The 7 day voyage to San Juan, St. Thomas and St. Marteen was fantastic. The balcony room was especially nice and quite adequate in size and space. The formal dinners were amazing as were the buffets. The entertainment was also very very good. This ship is primarily focused on travelers without children although there were many onbaord. Don't expect waterslides or ziplines just a beautiful relaxing cruise.

Loved every minute!

Ship: Celebrity Reflection | Sail Date: Mar 01, 2014

First time on Celebrity and we enjoyed every minute. The Reflection is beautiful and has some many great spaces to enjoy the ocean or have quite time. The live music and DJs were great. The Oceanview Caf was the best of any buffet on any previous cruise. It always had a fresh large assortment of options with a delightful salad bar. Our cabin and balcony on deck 9 were perfect we were near the forward elevators and had no noise. The drink package is so easy you had over your card and never have to sign and gratuities were included for each drink. You can only get one drink at a time per card so if I wanted a bottle of water and a juice I would have to wait a few minutes. The service was great in every aspect. Eastern Caribbean has the best beaches and the water is breathtaking. The cruise director and Activities director were fabulous! The Captain and his officers were very approachable and friendly. We loved the galley tour and the interview of the entertainment staff. Claire Maiden was AMAZING as a guest entertainer and the shows were very modern. Sin City had lots of language but my hubby laughed until he cried. You can be busy every minute or relax and soak in the sun. The solarium is a perfect childfree spot for peace and quiet, lots of little nooks to enjoy. Mostly people were 50 and older maybe 20 kids on the entire ship. We are couple late 30s and made wonderful friends. I have to say the other cruisers were great and friendly and this line is classy!

Outstanding

small verified icon Verified Review | Ship: Celebrity Reflection | Sail Date: Feb 22, 2014

We had a fun time from start to finish. The weather was perfect and the staff was wonderful.

Since we are elite members we enjoyed the free 2 hour coctails and h'ourves at the Sky Lougne

almosr every night. The food at every meal was delicious and expertly prepared by the chef just for us.

We give the carribean cruise the highest rating. In fact we plan to cruise again with Celebrity.

Nickel dime you to death! Stay away from wifi

Ship: Celebrity Reflection | Sail Date: Feb 15, 2014

Water $3 and $4.00 a bottle. Bingo= $45.00! And forget the wifi- ($.48 a minute) Half the time it did not work but doubled the number of minutes spent actually (trying to get) on line.  We are not drinkers- the occasional glass of wine ($16) or beer ($7.00) but activity directors were all about the booze- comments include- drink more, this crowd hasn't had enough, etc. Contests were- Battle of the sexes and the women are weak- come on. Maybe 15 years ago that was funny. They wondered why there was so little participation! Guests put towels on the poolside lounges at 7 AM and left them there all day- so you sit wherever! Disembarking- They tell you not to make a flight before 12:30 so you sit in the dinig room (while they clean) from 8 AM until 10:30 AM.  BIG fun!  Food in the main dining room was sometimes excellent and eomstimes very poor! Many sent their veal cordon bleau (bread crums w/bread crumbs) back the last night.
